On the train this morning, I noticed that an Express paper was sitting beside me. I picked it up, because, as usual, I didn't get one from the guy who passes them out at my first station. After skimming through it, a quote from inshaw.com/blog caught my eye: "There are Christians and there are 'Church Folk'...the agents of the Devil undermining the work of the Almighty. They call themselves Christian[s], but harbor...enough hate, spite [and] uncharitability..." So true! It is amazing how so many non-Christians can be lead astray by "church folk" instead of being influenced by true Christians. So where do people draw the line? How is someone supposed to know the difference between these "church folk" and Christians? Will one group have a certain bumper sticker? Will another wear an "I AM SAVED" pin? How will one group address random people? How will the other react when in a troubling situation? There are so many questions, but only one answer to them all. True Christians will be known by their fruit: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other." - Galatians 5:22-26 I hope this cleared up many misconceptions. Questions? Comments? |

Yes. I totally agree. That is why I don't even bother going to an institutional church, or some object that is called the church. Yes, by thier fruit, but this also can be hard to guage I have found. I have seen many ministries that are supposedly biblical in thier views, yet they continue to put chains on thier followers and secretly have a large book rules and regs. So it is difficult at times. I see someone doing wonderfully for the poor and then see the same person on TBN at the ""praiseathon"" WTF!! I'm sure that would have been a place where the tables were turned over and money spilt in the days Christ walked the earth. ( Not picking on one group there are thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of those same type groups. They hide thier watered down gospel and doctorines of devils behind their good works. There is another verse in the bible, ( John 13:35 ) "By this shall all know that ye are my disiples, if ye have love one to another. This is where I draw my line in Christianity. I can spot genuine love of God like a blue sky from a grey! It is an easy tool of disernment and one I use daily. Try it. It really works. So, in conclusion I will set myself to not be even closely resembled with "church folk" and pursue the love to our Father with heart, mind, and strength. Looking for a naked to clothe, or a prisoner who neeeds a visit, or a widow in time of need or a fatherless who needs help. WHY?? Because Jesus Christ said, " And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Insasmuch as ye have done unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done unto me." Well thanks for allowing me to respond. I so much love talking about these things.
